Helen Stephenson's Stroll along the Thames, March 24th, 2006

The interesting thing which made me decide to walk along the Thames on this occasion was the Norwegian coaster Midnatsol, who isn't that much different from a cruise ship - at least from the outside. She was in port for nearly a day, but the best weather occurred on the night of her arrival, when these pictures were taken.

These pictures were captured using a Pentax *ist DS digital SLR camera.

This is my favourite picture of Midnatsol, taken after she had finished berthing alongside HMS Belfast.

I find it hard to pass by Tower Bridge without stopping and taking at least a couple of pictures, so here's a Tower Bridge picture. The other two pictures are of the Tower of London complex. The White Tower (not very white under this lighting!) is visible in the left of the two pictures. The other picture shows a closer view of the half timbered house front to be seen in the left of the two Tower of London pictures.
