Stephen and I visited the Chatham Dockyards on 10th September 2006 during that year's Heritage Open Days. We didn't actually get free entrance to the Dockyards, but what we did get by booking for their special Heritage Open Days tour was a free special guided tour which included parts of the Dockyard site which are not generally open to the public.
We also had access to all the the parts of the Dockyard which form the main tourist attraction. The tickets are sold as annual season tickets entitling the holders to as many visits as they like within a 12-month period. We didn't manage to see everything in one day and meant to take advantage of a return visit, but it never quite happened, so we'll have to go back one day and pay for another pair of season tickets!
The images were captured with a Pentax *ist DS digital SLR camera.
